Tequesta Homes For Sale $250,000+ with Beautiful Water Views

Tequesta Jupiter, FL Homes For Sale

㋡ Tequesta Homes For Sale $250,000+ Beautiful Water Views

Named after the Tequesta or Tekesta Indians, Tequesta has currently the Loxahatchee River flowing through it to the Atlantic Ocean. The first record of European contact with the Tequesta was in 1513 by Juan Ponce de León when he discovered the Florida coast. By the mid-1770s, the Tequesta were no longer seen in their circles or villages.

Being mainly hunters and gathers, the Tequesta's diet mainly consisted of deer, fish, alligator, turtles, shellfish, plants, and roots. Today many of the local Tequesta residents are fishermen with some of the homes having boat slips as well as located on the Intracoastal Waterway or the Loxahatchee River.

Tequesta is a quiet residential community with an emphasis on fishing among many of the residents. There are several Homes For Sale from which to choose, some directly on the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, the Loxahatchee River, or one of the fingers with deep water boat slips. Other Listings are land bound, if you prefer that.
